Role & Responsibilities:
Supplier Evaluation and Selection:
Conduct assessments to evaluate the capabilities and performance of potential suppliers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Work with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, quality systems, and delivery performance.
Implement supplier development programs to enhance their capabilities and ensure alignment with company standards.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supplier performance.
Establish and monitor supplier quality metrics.
Conduct regular audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure effective communication and alignment on supplier requirements.
Participate in new product development and provide input to ensure supplier capabilities meet product specifications.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Must possess an excellent understanding of quality systems, quality audits, product qualification and manufacturing processes (casting, injection molding, assembly), basic statistical methods, improvement methodologies; green belt, black belt is a plus, and program management skill set
Performs the Quality Project tasks described for assignments of moderate scope with some direction from the manager
Must have the capability to apply fundamental quality techniques to wide range of projects
Shall be actively developing skills in product, process and system related techniques
Solid oral & written communication skills with ability to communicate well at all levels of organization
