2. Role & Responsibilities
- Supplier sourcing & development: Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers, with a strong focus on the Chinese market.
- Supplier management: Build and maintain a list of strategic suppliers, ensuring long‑term partnerships.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, Incoterms, MOQ, lead times, and other commercial terms.
- Cost control: Monitor and manage purchasing costs to ensure optimal cost efficiency.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with Purchasing, QA/QC, R&D, and Production teams to secure stable supply.
- Supplier evaluation: Conduct audits and assess supplier capabilities in terms of quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Issue resolution: Handle problems such as delays, quality defects, and claims effectively.
- Market intelligence: Track market trends and raw material pricing to support sourcing decisions.
- Team leadership: Manage and guide the sourcing team when applicable.
3. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in sourcing or purchasing, with proven experience working with Chinese suppliers.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Fluent Chinese language skills (mandatory): negotiation, contract reading, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of the Chinese market and supplier landscape.
- Excellent skills in negotiation, cost analysis, problem‑solving, and team management.
- Proficiency in Excel; ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage.
- High commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
