2. Roles & Responsibilities

Tooling & Equipment Design
- Design SMT production tooling (PCB carriers, magazines, pallets, solder fixtures, inspection supports, transport frames).
- Create 2D/3D drawings in SolidWorks and define tolerances, materials, and manufacturing methods.
- Develop mechanical solutions for handling flexible, rigid‑flex, and small PCBs.
- Adapt and improve SMT equipment to meet new product requirements.

New Project & NPI Support
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by defining tooling concepts early in the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Design, SMT Process Engineering, and Equipment Engineering to define tooling requirements.
- Prototype, test, and validate tooling solutions before production release.

Documentation & Standardization
- Prepare CAD models, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Maintain tooling records, revision control, and contribute to internal design standards.

Supplier & Manufacturing Interface
- Work with internal and external tooling suppliers.
- Support tooling fabrication, qualification, and acceptance.
- Ensure tooling solutions meet quality, safety, and cost requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, product design, or tooling development.
- Knowledge of SMT processes (solder paste printing, placement, reflow soldering, SPI/AOI).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software; ability to interpret Gerber/ODB++ files.
- Familiarity with PCB handling challenges (warpage, shrinkage, thermal expansion).
- Experience with tolerance analysis, deformation/flatness analysis, and rapid prototyping (3D printing).
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; supportive and collaborative attitude.
- English proficiency at intermediate level or higher (IELTS 4.5+).
- Willingness to travel occasionally (<10%).
