Role & Responsibilities:
An integral member of their global leadership team, this individual will have extensive leverage to establish financial capabilities within their organization as one of their progressive leaders in a position of Finance Manager.
You will be responsible for:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the store, in alignment with the overall business objectives.
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, sales analysis, and performance metrics, to senior management.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Collaborate with store management to develop annual budgets and monitor performance against targets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline processes, and implement effective cost control measures without compromising customer service or quality.
Conduct regular cost variance analysis and provide actionable insights to optimize store operations.
Financial Operations:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash management, banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Manage inventory control and implement strategies to minimize stock losses and improve inventory turnover.
Performance Analysis and Strategy:
Analyze sales performance, margin, and inventory turnover to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase profitability.
Collaborate with the store management team to optimize pricing strategies, promotions, and markdowns.
Conduct competitor analysis to stay informed about market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the finance team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Finance Manager or similar role in the luxurious retail industry, preferably in the luxurious retail sector.
Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in managing and developing a finance team.
Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
