Our client, a global leader in Oil & Gas solutions, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead market expansion and strengthen partnerships across Vietnam. This role focuses on driving growth, managing distributors and implementing strategic plans for the assigned product line.
Role and responsibilities:
- Oversee all sales operations for multiple Professional Tool brands throughout Vietnam, ensuring targets are met and exceeded through effective planning and execution.
- Manage relationships with existing distributor partners by collaborating on business plans, providing regular performance feedback, and supporting their efforts to achieve shared goals.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners in strategic locations to expand market reach and drive incremental sales growth.
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations and business presentations-both in-person and virtually-to educate end users about the benefits and applications of professional tools.
- Work closely with channel partners to prepare accurate monthly sales forecasts and updates that inform supply chain decisions and inventory management.
- Monitor marketplace trends, competitor activities, and major public or private sector projects to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments.
- Drive the expansion of e-commerce platforms in partnership with distributors to capture emerging digital sales channels.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all company products from technical specifications to pricing strategies, ensuring you can confidently address customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams-including marketing, operations, and executive leadership-to align on strategy and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Participate actively in ongoing training programmes covering product knowledge, strategic planning processes, quality standards, cultural awareness, and core company values.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in sales operations or distributor management within the industrial sector is essential for this role.
- At least two years’ proven track record at managerial level overseeing teams or complex projects is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is mandatory; candidates with an engineering background will be highly regarded due to the technical nature of the products involved.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with end users from industries such as construction, facility maintenance, utilities, mining or oil & gas is crucial.
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for building lasting relationships with channel partners as well as internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are vital for delivering persuasive presentations and clear business proposals.
- Experience preparing accurate sales forecasts and analysing performance data will enable you to make informed recommendations for improvement.
- Adaptability is important given the fast-changing environment; you should be comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or results.
- A high standard of professional responsibility combined with personal integrity ensures you represent the brand positively at all times.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or digital sales channels would be advantageous as you help drive online growth alongside traditional routes.
