Our client is a well-established international food manufacturer with strong operations across Vietnam. The business is expanding aggressively in the local market, focusing on traditional trade and distributor channels.
The Role – Sales Manager (Field-driven | GT focus)
This role is highly field-oriented, requiring a hands-on leader who can both build the market and lead from the front. You will take ownership of sales performance, distributor management, and team execution across assigned regions.
Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of sales targets and execution across the assigned territory (mainly GT/traditional trade channels).

Lead, manage and develop a sales team of 40+ field staff (Sales reps, supervisors, etc.).

Work closely with distributors/wholesalers to drive sell-in & sell-out, pricing, and market coverage.

Build and expand market presence by opening new outlets and strengthening existing ones.

Develop practical, on-ground sales strategies (weekly/monthly) and ensure strong execution.

Frequently go to market to monitor team performance, customer engagement, and competitor activities.

Handle pricing negotiation and resolve daily operational issues in a fast-moving environment.

Train and coach team members to improve productivity and sales capabilities.

Ensure discipline, KPIs tracking, and execution consistency across the team.
Requirements

Strong background in FMCG, especially Traditional Trade (GT).

Proven experience managing a sizeable field sales team.

Hands-on, street-smart, and comfortable working extensively in the market.

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills (especially in distributor & pricing discussions).

Able to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-changing environment.

Good command of English (for internal communication/reporting).

Open to frequent travel within assigned regions.
