R&D Director

The Company: Our client is a leading manufacturing group in the consumer products space, committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. The organization is strengthening its R&D leadership to drive product competitiveness and long-term growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Define and execute R&D strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
• Lead innovation pipeline, product development, and commercialization from concept to launch.
• Drive cost optimization, material innovation, and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing R&D team; establish processes, KPIs, and governance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Production, Procurement, and external partners (suppliers, institutes, universities).
• Oversee R&D budget, resource allocation, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 10–15+ years in R&D, including 5+ years in senior leadership (Head/Director level).
• Experience in consumer goods, FMCG, or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong track record in product innovation, cost engineering, and cross-functional leadership.
• Strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and team leadership capability.
• Fluent English communication.
