1. The Company
Our client is a global leader in industrial engineering and automation solutions, providing advanced systems for manufacturing and production facilities worldwide. With a strong commitment to innovation and operational excellence, the company is expanding its procurement team in Vietnam to support large-scale industrial projects.
2. Role & Responsibilities

Lead and manage all purchasing activities for industrial projects, including procurement of metal materials and components, installation & construction services, and automation equipment

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency, quality compliance, and on-time delivery

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers for metal raw materials (steel, aluminum, fabricated parts), automation hardware (drives, robotics), and third-party installation contractors

Manage the entire procurement cycle from RFQ, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, to purchase order issuance and supplier performance monitoring

Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and site construction teams to align procurement plans with project schedules and technical requirements

Ensure all purchased materials and services comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery performance
-
Monitor market trends for metal commodities and automation components to support strategic buying decisions

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors in Vietnam and across the region

Lead and develop a local purchasing team to support project-based procurement activities
3. Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
-
8+ years of procurement experience in industrial project environments, with at least 3 years in a managerial role

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in purchasing:
-
Metal materials and fabricated metal components (steel structures, sheet metal, machined parts, piping, etc.)

Installation & construction services (mechanical/electrical installation, site contractors, labor subcontracting)
-
Automation equipment and components (drives, robotics, control panels)
-
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction
-
Familiarity with local supplier landscape in Vietnam for metals, fabrication, and installation services
-
Strong understanding of import/export procedures, incoterms, and local procurement regulations
-
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and spoken)

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project procurement timelines simultaneously
-
Willingness to travel to supplier sites and project locations within Vietnam as needed
-
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or similar) and MS Office
