Lead technical sales support, project engineering, after-sales activities, and engineering coordination for industrial drives, motors, electrical systems, and related solutions across Southeast Asia, while managing customer technical support, project execution, supplier coordination, and leading the local engineering team.
The Company
Our client is a global provider of industrial power conversion and automation solutions serving heavy industries such as metals, oil & gas, power generation, and water treatment, and they are expanding their engineering team in Vietnam to support regional projects.
Role & Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Technical Support

Support sales teams with technical solutions and proposal strategies, identify customer requirements and application conditions, and prepare multiple technical options based on customer needs and commercial competitiveness.

Coordinate with global engineering teams and partner manufacturers to propose optimized solutions, provide technical clarification during bidding, and prepare technical specifications, compliance lists, drawings, and engineering documentation.

Conduct technical discussions with customers, EPCs, consultants, and suppliers, support technical proposal costing and evaluation, and study market trends, competitor products, and customer demands for industrial drives, motors, UPS, substation, and automation systems.
Project Engineering & After-Sales

Execute and manage projects from order receipt through commissioning and handover, manage project schedules, monitor engineering and manufacturing progress, and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Coordinate with global teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers on technical and project matters, control project documentation including drawings, procedures, and reports, and monitor factory production schedules and shipment status.

Support factory acceptance tests, inspections, site installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales service activities at customer sites.
Team Management & Leadership

Lead and support local engineering members in daily technical and project activities, provide technical guidance and mentoring for junior engineers, and coordinate effectively with local team, regional offices, global headquarters, suppliers, and customers.

Build a positive, collaborative working environment, promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement, support resource planning and task allocation, and lead resolution of technical and project issues with cross-functional teams.
3. Requirements

Strong technical knowledge of medium and low voltage drives, induction and synchronous motors, electrical power systems, automation systems, and preferably UPS and power distribution systems.

Minimum 8+ years of experience in,project engineering, commissioning, or electrical system engineering, with preference for those who have worked in EPC, refinery, petrochemical, power plant, paper, water, or industrial applications.

Strong project management experience in handling complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, with proven ability to deliver within scope, timeline, and budget.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across regional and global levels.

Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, plus strong business English proficiency (written and verbal).

Ability to manage multiple projects and multicultural teams, and willingness to travel frequently within Southeast Asia.
