Job description

The Quality Manager (Furniture - Ha Noi) is responsible for ensuring the exceptional quality of furniture items manufactured by the company. This role involves overseeing quality control processes, managing a team of inspectors, collaborating with various departments, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Quality Manager is a key player in driving continuous improvement and delivering high-quality furniture products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Control Management:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control procedures and standards tailored to furniture products.

    • Lead and supervise a team of quality control inspectors, technicians, and related staff in conducting thorough inspections of furniture items at various production stages.

  2. Inspection and Testing:

    • Oversee the inspection of raw materials, components, and finished furniture products to ensure they meet defined quality standards and specifications.

    • Implement testing methodologies to assess structural integrity, functionality, aesthetics, and safety of furniture items.

  3. Process Improvement:

    • Collaborate with production, design, and engineering teams to identify areas for process improvement that contribute to enhanced product quality and reduced defects.

    • Propose and implement process optimization measures based on data analysis and industry best practices.

  4. Compliance and Standards:

    • Stay current with furniture industry regulations, safety norms, and quality standards to ensure the company's products meet or exceed required benchmarks.

    • Ensure all products are compliant with relevant quality certifications and regulatory requirements.

  5. Supplier Collaboration:

    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, communicating quality expectations for materials, components, and parts used in furniture manufacturing.

    • Conduct supplier audits and collaborate on improvements to enhance the quality of incoming materials.

  6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, defects, and opportunities for improvement.

    • Prepare regular reports on quality performance, defect rates, and corrective actions taken.

  7. Root Cause Analysis and CAPA:

    • Lead investigations into the root causes of quality issues, applying structured problem-solving techniques.

    • Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence.

  8. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by initiating quality awareness programs and engaging cross-functional teams in quality enhancement initiatives.

  9. Customer Satisfaction:

    • Collaborate closely with customer service and sales teams to address customer feedback, complaints, and quality-related concerns.

    • Ensure that product quality contributes positively to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Quality Management, or Manufacturing.

  • Proven experience in quality management within the furniture manufacturing industry.

  • Thorough understanding of furniture industry-specific quality standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a quality control team.

  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis and quality improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of product quality.

  • Knowledge of quality management tools and software.
