NPI Project Leader
About the job
Our client is a well-established international manufacturer supplying high-performance engineered components to global automotive and industrial customers. As part of its continued expansion in Vietnam, the company is looking for a NPI Project Leader to lead new product introduction (NPI) programs and coordinate cross-functional project execution.
Role & Responsibilities
Project Leadership

Lead new product introduction (NPI) projects from customer nomination through production launch and post-launch support.

Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure key milestones are achieved within agreed timelines and budgets.

Identify project risks, drive mitigation plans, and ensure successful project delivery.
Customer & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary project contact between customers and internal functional teams.

Coordinate customer requirements and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Organize project kick-off meetings and facilitate collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and other stakeholders.
Quality & Process Management

Coordinate product development activities in accordance with automotive quality standards.

Support preparation of customer submission documentation for new product launches.

Drive project readiness through structured planning, risk assessment, and cross-functional reviews.

Support customer visits, audits, and technical discussions when required.
Continuous Improvement

Coordinate engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.

Support production after launch to ensure smooth project transition and issue resolution.

Prepare regular project updates and communicate project status to management.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, NPI, or Product Development within an automotive or manufacturing environment.

Practical experience with Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).

Good understanding of IATF 16949 or other automotive quality management systems.

Strong project planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in an international manufacturing environment.

Good command of written and spoken English.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
