The Company: Our Client is an iconic European retailer is renowned for offering high-quality consumer products, blending style with reliability for over a century.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for agreeing on the target dates with Suppliers and HQ Departments to track the Launch Newness
- Responsible for managing and updating the critical path tasks for their Region and exit dates
- Provide proactive service to HQ Buying and Merchandising Departments to meet their sourcing requirements
- Assist the merchandising manager in costing exercises to encourage margin potential within the region.
- Work closely with the PD team/costing team to ensure CS samples and price can be approved timely.
- Work closely with the Tech team to ensure rack samples can be approved timely.
- Working closely with the material team to ensure bulk materials can be approved timely.
- ER management- exceptional cases to be managed properly and define the responsibility
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure production capacity is well planned and monitored to cope with the sourcing needs
- Manage the critical path of orders placed with suppliers to ensure all required submissions on fabric/trims/samples/fits are delivered and approved timely, and activities are executed as per approved timelines
- Monitor delivery performance closely and work with the technical and supply chain team in solving quality and delivery issues for the achievement of consistent time delivery
- Process purchase orders properly and ensure critical path information is updated in a timely and accurate manner
- Payment issue with suppliers after shipment, working with the invoice teams to sort it out
- Train up new suppliers to ensure they are familiar with The Company’s systems and processes
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary educated with at least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
- Solid product knowledge, familiarity with European standards would be a definite advantage
- Ability to manage critical paths independently with a good understanding of production operations
- Good understanding on production and supply chain costs
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proactive, energetic, independen,t and can play as a team player
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Sound computer knowledge and familiar with MS Office and Outlook
