About the job
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Strategy & Business Partnership
Work closely with senior leaders to align headquarters HR strategies with overall business goals. Design and execute HR programs that enhance productivity, workforce engagement, and retention within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
2. Talent Acquisition & Succession Planning
Manage end-to-end recruitment across salaried, non-salaried, and shop-floor positions to ensure a strong and sustainable talent pipeline. Lead succession planning and talent development initiatives to strengthen future leadership capability and organizational continuity.
3. Employee Relations & Labor Management
Act as a trusted advisor to line managers on employee relations, performance issues, and disciplinary processes. Handle complex ER cases with professionalism and impartiality, including conducting detailed investigations. Maintain effective labor relations in unionized environments, including CBA administration and participation in collective bargaining discussions when required.
4. Learning, Development & Culture Building
Assess training needs across operations, leadership, and safety functions. Design and deliver learning programs such as frontline leadership development, operational excellence/lean practices, and safety compliance training. Champion initiatives that foster a positive culture, high morale, and effective communication across all shifts.
5. Rewards, Benefits & HR Governance
Oversee compensation, benefits, and recognition frameworks to ensure market competitiveness within the manufacturing sector. Ensure full compliance with applicable labor and employment regulations (e.g. OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, EEO), with particular attention to industrial workplace requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Expat only
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline;
- At 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management level
- Strong practical knowledge of HR policies, labor practices, and employment regulations relevant to manufacturing environments
- Extensive experience in recruiting engineering, technical, and production talent.
- Prior exposure to unionized workplaces is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strategic mindset combined with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
