Our client is a global leader in powertrain solutions and rotating equipment solutions, delivering high‑precision drive technology and mechanical power transmission systems to diverse industries. With a reputation for innovation, quality, and reliability, they are seeking a seasoned Heavy Machine Solutions Manager to lead technical and commercial initiatives across Southeast Asia.
Role & Responsibilities
- Regional leadership (SEA): Manage and develop application engineering and technical support functions across Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Customer solutions: Provide comprehensive pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support for powertrain solutions and rotating equipment solutions, driving customer success in heavy machinery applications.
- Strategic development: Define and implement technical strategies for the region, including product selection optimization, customer training programs, and solution customization.
- Application analysis: Evaluate customer requirements, advise on installation, operation, and maintenance, and deliver optimal technical solutions tailored to industrial sectors such as cement, steel, mining, and manufacturing.
- Technical validation: Approve and validate all proposals and configurations before submission to customers, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with Design, Quality, and Production teams to resolve technical issues, manage customization requests, and oversee warranty claims.
- Market expansion: Conduct site surveys and industry assessments to identify opportunities for product applications and expand Bonfiglioli’s footprint in Southeast Asia.
- Advisory role: Act as a senior technical advisor to regional leadership, contributing to business strategy, product development, and market growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technical applications, maintenance, or machinery fabrication, preferably in powertrain solutions or rotating equipment solutions.
- Proven track record in regional management and leading technical teams across multiple countries.
- Deep technical expertise in industrial drive technology, transmission systems, and heavy machinery applications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical calculation/selection software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Customer‑focused mindset with demonstrated problem‑solving and solution delivery.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; regional language skills are a plus.
