Finance Supervisor (Melbourne)

The Company: An international FMCG company is seeking a skilled Finance Supervisor (Lead) to join its newly established team in Melbourne, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial records in line with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).

• Prepare, review, and finalise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Maintain general ledger integrity, including reconciliations, fixed assets management, and inventory accounting.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Manage the preparation, filing, and reconciliation of all statutory taxes (GST, PAYG, CIT, etc.) in accordance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations.

• Serve as the main contact point for external auditors and tax authorities when required.

• Regularly review and update tax policies to ensure full and timely compliance.

Internal Controls & Cross-Border Coordination

• Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard accuracy and reduce financial risk.

• Coordinate closely with both Vietnam and Australia teams to align financial and reporting practices.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Analysis

• Support the Finance Director in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

• Conduct variance analyses, identify key drivers, and propose actionable recommendations to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CA qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and accounting standards (AASB).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance supervision, preferably in FMCG industry.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Xero).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
