A global leader in manufacturing and supply chain solutions, this company supports leading retail and consumer brands with innovative branding, product identification, and data-driven services to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement the plant’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Provide financial insight into strategic initiatives including capacity expansion, automation, product portfolio shifts, and operational restructuring.
- Influence cross-functional decisions by embedding financial perspectives into manufacturing, supply chain, and operational strategies.
2. Capital & Operating Expenditure Management (CAPEX & OPEX)
- Lead the development and management of capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans and operating expenditure (OPEX) budgets across the plant.
- Evaluate and prioritize investment proposals, working closely with engineering, operations, and procurement.
- Build business cases, assess ROI, and monitor payback periods for capital projects.
- Analyze and monitor OPEX trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support operational efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure a balanced allocation between day-to-day operational needs and long-term strategic investments.
3. Long-Term Planning & Value Creation
- Own the long-range financial planning (LRP) process for the manufacturing site.
- Model long-term scenarios based on market trends, cost dynamics, and capacity changes.
- Identify levers to improve EBITDA, cash flow, and asset utilization over the long term.
4. Cost Strategy & Margin Expansion
- Redefine costing strategies and product profitability analysis to support pricing, sourcing, andmake-or-buy decisions.
- Build strategic cost roadmaps (e.g., zero-based budgeting, lean cost structures) to improve gross margin.
- Collaborate with operations to embed a cost-to-compete mindset across the business.
5. Risk Management & Strategic Controls
- Implement robust financial controls that support agility without compromising compliance.
- Proactively identify financial and operational risks, with mitigation strategies embedded in business plans.
- Navigate external factors (e.g., inflation, supply disruptions, FX) through resilient financial planning.
6. Business Partnering & Executive Influence
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Plant Manager and leadership team.
- Translate financial data into narratives that support decision-making at the executive level.
- Foster a finance culture that supports strategic decision support, not just reporting.
Reuqirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years in finance/accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong financial analysis and cost control capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
