Field Service Engineer

About the job

Our client is a Chinese company specializing in industrial machinery solutions for the packaging sector. Due to business expansion in Vietnam, they are looking for 2 Field Service Engineers to support machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales service activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform machine installation, setup, commissioning, and testing at customer sites

• Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair support for industrial equipment

• Handle machine issues and support customers in resolving technical problems efficiently

• Conduct machine inspections and preventive maintenance when required

• Coordinate with internal technical teams and overseas managers for issue escalation

• Prepare basic service reports and update service activities

• Support customers onsite and maintain good customer relationships

• Travel frequently to customer sites across Vietnam when assigned

Requirements

• Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related technical fields

• Experience in field service engineering, machine installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting

• Open to candidates from any industrial equipment background

• Willing to travel frequently for onsite service work

• Flexible to work overtime or irregular schedules depending on project requirements

• Able to work independently with limited supervision

• Strong service mindset and customer-oriented attitude

• Able to work under pressure and in challenging working environments, including:

  • High temperature
  • Dusty or strong-smell environments
  • Working at height
  • Heavy industrial machinery environments

• Basic English communication is preferred for coordination with regional teams.
