Job Purpose:
This role plays a critical part in building and strengthening the Apparel function within a large multinational organization. The Fabric Sourcing Manager and Product Development Manager will work as core leadership pillars to develop a high-performing Apparel team, drive fabric and product innovation, and establish robust sourcing and development capabilities aligned with global standards. These positions are essential in supporting business growth, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and elevating product quality, speed-to-market, and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead fabric sourcing and development for woven & knit fabrics, focusing on high-end ladieswear
- Coordinate proto yardage, salesman samples, lab dips, and testing reports
- Develop seasonal fabric collections and trend boards aligned with design concepts
- Manage and maintain a centralized fabric library
- Work directly with customers’ fabric teams and global vendors
- Source new materials and suppliers worldwide; monitor quality, cost, and lead time
- Support designers and merchandising teams with fabric innovation and market trends
- Maintain strong vendor communication and resolve delivery or development issues
Requirements:
- Degree holder in any discipline; Diploma or Degree in Clothing, Textile Merchandising, or related fields is an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in product development, sourcing, or merchandising
- Strong product and material knowledge with solid development and merchandising process expertise
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively under pressure with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Well-organized with strong problem-solving abilities; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Chinese-speaking preferred
