Costing Manager
About the job
Our client is a top tier manufacturing company is looking for a Costing Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Costing & Pricing
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate product costings (BOM, labor, overhead).
- Analyze cost structures and support pricing strategies to ensure targeted margins.
- Review and validate cost changes due to material price fluctuation, process changes, or volume variation.
- Support quotation and bidding processes for new and existing customers.
2. Financial Analysis & Business Partnering
- Act as a business partner to Sales and Operations teams to provide financial insights.
- Perform margin analysis, variance analysis, and profitability reporting by product, customer, or project.
- Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and business performance.
- Support feasibility studies and financial modeling for new projects.
3. SAP & Systems
- Maintain costing data and structures in SAP (standard cost, actual cost, cost centers).
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of cost-related data in SAP.
- Coordinate with Regional/Global Finance teams on system improvements and costing standards.
4. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to costs.
- Monitor actual costs vs. budget and analyze variances.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and follow up on implementation.
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare regular costing and margin reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits related to costing.
6. Team & Process Improvement
- Improve costing processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training or guidance to relevant stakeholders on costing-related matters.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis as required by management.
Requirement:
- Graduated from University – specialized in Finance & Accounting
- At least 4 years of experience in Finance & Accounting field is a must. Of which, 2 years of experiences in Business analyst in FDI company
- SAP experience: must have.
- English: fluently
- Good in communication – reasonable to clarify information with partner
- Good presentation & time management skills
- Critical thinkingResults Driven, self-driven.
