They are hiring an experienced Business Development professional/ Commercial Manager to join the Commercial team to be responsible for all aspect of business development in Vietnam as directed by the Senior Director to help establish their global business in the gas value chain.
Role & Responsibilities:
Company seeks a Commercial Manager with strong local network and deep understanding of the Natural Gas/LNG industry in Vietnam, and ideally have some insights to the local power market. The individual is responsible for all required activities related to LNG project origination and development that expands their LNG footprint in the country.
The responsibilities will Includes but are not limited to the following activities:
Perform all aspect of origination and project development to identify new business opportunities (investments, partnerships, JV or acquisitions) within the LNG value chain in Vietnam.
Identify and analyse new business opportunities in Vietnam, considering trends, drivers and local market characteristics and manage the implementation of the identified practical steps.
Provide strategy formulation for growth across several segments of the LNG value chain, including the formation of partnerships with local companies, technical partners (e.g. technology providers) and/or strategic investors.
Research into specific topics, including, but not limited to, political, technical, economical, legal trends and regulations, to support commercial strategy and development in Vietnam.
Support in the negotiation and execution of contracts.
Contribute to the development of business plans and commercial models and engage other functional groups (e.g. engineering, finance) to ensure different aspects of the business aligns with the corporate goals of the company.
Develop new and maintain existing relationships with key stakeholders in Vietnam.
Work with regional team to provide updates, documentation and analysis in support of investment decisions for senior management, including information memos and presentations.
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration
5 to 8 years work experience in shipping &/or Oil & Gas with ideally a good network of contacts within the industry in Vietnam
Project management: able to work under pressure with strong organization & time management skills on multiple complex projects & meet deadlines
Self-starter & commercially driven: able to convert market insights & client needs in structured commercial proposals
Prior experiences managing large tenders & bids (>$50m) will be highly appreciated
Comfortable with numbers & financial modelling: able to build robust costing & valuation models to support investment business cases presented to top management
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English & Vietnamese
Requires ability to travel, often upon short notice, on an as needed basis
Team player & collaborative: able to work with multi-cultural teams
