Chief Accountant (Dong Nai)

The Company: Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of food products in Vietnam

Manage accurate and timely month-end closing, ensuring balance sheet and P&L accuracy with clear explanations for long aging items.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control (credit limits, credit days, AR/AP aging, credit exposure reports).
Analyse monthly production reports, including yield, stock price, and expense variances (manufacturing and overhead).
Prepare, reconcile, and review monthly inventory reports, stock counts, and fixed asset counts, addressing discrepancies.
Ensure timely posting of accrued expenses and accurate cost control with variance and under-budget analysis.
Collaborate with tax and legal teams on tax, contracts, and customs compliance, while proactively addressing compliance risks.
Support financial audits (internal and external) and assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
Monitor and mentor junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers, fostering capability development.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align on shared goals and operational improvements.
Handle ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and tasks as assigned by the Department Manager or BOD.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting within a multicultural manufacturing environment; SAP or other ERP system experience is an advantage.
Strong command of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
Detail-oriented, consistent, and accurate with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to motivate, guide, and lead a team by example.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
