Chief Accountant

The Company:

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Record, verify, and reconcile financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting data.

2. Financial Reporting and Closing

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with corporate timelines.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow transactions.

3. Payment and Expense Management

• Process invoices, expense claims, and vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and financial records in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

4. Compliance and Audit

• Assist in tax filings, statutory reporting, and audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

5. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal departments and external parties, including auditors, banks, and vendors, as required.
• Provide support for finance-related projects and ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Requirement

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Technical and Professional Knowledge

• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of both Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience in local statutory reporting and regional/group financial reporting in a multinational or shared service environment.
• Must hold a valid Chief Accountant Certificate issued in Vietnam.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent systems.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, compliance, and internal control frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
