Role & Responsibilities:
An integral member of their global leadership team, this individual will have extensive leverage to establish world class capabilities within their organization as a progressive role as Category Manager - Beauty.
You will be responsible for:
Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy for the luxurious beauty segment, in line with the company's overall business objectives. This includes identifying market trends, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to drive growth and differentiate our beauty offerings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with beauty brands and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and securing exclusive partnerships. Collaborate with vendors to develop co-branded promotions, limited editions, and exclusive product launches, maximizing brand visibility and driving sales.
Optimize inventory levels and ensure stock availability by closely monitoring sales performance, forecasting demand, and coordinating with the buying and planning teams. Minimize excess inventory and implement strategies to improve stock turnover and reduce out-of-stock situations.
Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales. Provide input on marketing materials, visual merchandising, and in-store displays to enhance the beauty category's presentation.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to evaluate the performance of the beauty category. Generate regular reports and present findings to management, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making data-driven recommendations.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including buyers, visual merchandisers, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and execution of category strategies. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role, preferably within the beauty or luxury retail industry.
Deep knowledge and passion for the beauty industry, including familiarity with luxury beauty brands, product trends, and consumer preferences.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and consumer insights to drive category growth.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with a proven track record of developing successful partnerships with beauty brands and suppliers.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing category strategies, including product assortment planning, inventory management, and promotional activities.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to management.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
