Overall about the job:
Ensure on-time and complete delivery of the engineering packages as allocated, according to the Project Contract, Description of Work, Master Time Schedule, and Project Cost for all Projects/ Work in execution for the team.
Maintain a resource pool and proper skill set of staff (Software & Hardware Engineer) in projects execution. Specify and develop the required resources for high quality service at any time. Ensure compliance with the Quality, EHS rules and Engineering standards.
Establish and enforce proper Project Management processes, covering all Projects/ Work in execution for the team.
Actively monitor progress and take the appropriate actions to manage deviations.
Identify & assign resources to support Projects in execution (including work assigned to other locations)
Foster transparency of project issues and their direct impact on the result of the project
Provide timely removal or organizational barriers.
Frequent contact with customers and project partners
Ensure timely and accurate forecasting and identify risks and opportunities.
Advise the project team/ team member, and work closely with them to develop corrective action plans.
Regularly review and monitor project/ work progress by checking the engineering progress.
Supervise, support and coaches the Team Members (Software & Hardware Engineer)
Lead and motivate project execution teams by establishing an open and broad communication of the principles, objectives, and processes.
Define, together with staff, goals and objectives aligned with the Department needs.
Conduct annual and mid-year reviews for Team Members and provide regular feedback to all staff.
Drive definition of objectives and targets for each project
Ensure collection and implementation of project management lessons learned / best practices from projects under execution beyond location. Ensure that complaints are registered and formally solved.
Ensure compliance with project management processes and tools and continuous improvement (e.g. Project Reviews)
Supports and advises Project Engineers on complex or difficult projects (all type projects), on all technical belonging related with his specialization, ensure that design will meet the customers expectation.
Actively participate in project meetings with cross - functional team members, suppliers, and/or customers
Resolve questions or problems that occur during the design and manufacturing as well as during installation and commissioning.
Supervise and support the Team Members in technical belongings, act as mentor for Engineers
Implement new engineering tools and guidelines in the allocated team
Take over the responsibility (Resolving and reporting) of customer support cases. Provide a proper support and handover to the CS manager for the further incident handling
Good understanding of process and business
Familiar with industrial automation and PLC programming (Siemens Step 7/TIA/GE/B&R)
Familiar with the creation of wiring diagram (with CE- and UL- norms), part list, and panel manufacturing (experience with Engineering Base software is an advantage)
Fair knowledge of SAP usage
