Senior Thermal Engineer (Heavy Industry)

The Company: Our client is a leading Industrial Manufacturing company in Heavy Industry in Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of reference engineering (mainly layouts and diagrams) and production of documentation relating to FTP (Fume Treatment Plant) and Heat Recovery offers according to company and international standards.
• Choice and sizing of commercial components based on the mechanical and performance characteristics of the machines/systems: steam generators, pressurized water pumping systems, electric/pneumatic actuators, bearings, piping, etc.
• Choice of construction materials for the components as well as piping and drafting of the relevant P&IDs
• Assist in the drafting of the offer specifications by evaluating the quantities needed in terms of quantities and weights
• Feasibility analysis of solutions in the advance project phase, sales support.
• Participation and organization of meetings within the ETO (External Technical Office) and/or with other departments, aimed at collecting feedback, project reviews and sharing new technical solutions

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in the plant engineering sector, preferable in energy recovery systems
• Knowledge of piping schemes
• Educational qualification: degree in engineering
• Knowledge of mechanical design, as well as peculiar parts such as steam and high-pressure pipes, relative insulation, storage tanks, pumps and possibly also ORC turbines
• Knowledge of the main drawing software (Autocad, Inventor)
• Fluent English
