The Company:

Our client is an iconic Building Materials brand, with long standing history and significant ambitions to scale their presence across Asia Pacific.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:

    • Identify, assess, and select suppliers for building materials, negotiating pricing and terms.

    • Maintain strong, strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable source of high-quality materials.

    • Continuously evaluate vendor performance, addressing any issues and seeking opportunities for improvement.

  • Cost Optimization:

    • Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies.

    • Monitor market trends and industry conditions to make informed decisions about material pricing and sourcing.

    • Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to control budgets and track cost savings.

  • Contract Negotiation:

    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.

    • Review and update contracts as necessary to adapt to changing business needs.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all purchased materials meet or exceed industry standards.

    • Implement quality control procedures and work with suppliers to address quality issues promptly.

  • Inventory Management:

    • Oversee inventory levels and develop strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete materials.

    • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline inventory management processes.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the Building Materials industry.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Excellent understanding of supply chain management and procurement best practices.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations, quality standards, and market trends.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
